This meeting is most important decision-making body at Shure university.

Twice a month we have this meeting.
We make the final decisions about everything that we talked out at each meeting.
We discuss and decide from small things to big things here.

For example, to check the schedule, report of each project activities, what will we do at next event, and about the manner of clearing up tea cups.

Shure university is steered by students and staff members.
You might feel troublesome, but it’s very democratic and exciting way, we think.

Purpose
We feel some difficulties of livings every day.
It is not easy to know why we feel difficult to live and who we are.
But, we want to break such difficult days.
We want to be free through film expressions.
There are people who eager to live as they want through making films in the world.
We want to meet such film makers and the people who are fascinated by the theme.

Call for Films
We call for films which suit the theme “Ｉwant to live haw I want”.

The requirements

• The theme : “Ｉwant to live haw I want”
• Conditions of applicants : Experience, age and nationality are not considered.

Any kind of films are welcome.

• Duration : Shorter than 30 minutes
• The language : Japanese or English subtitle
• Video format : NTSC mini DV

We have the open lecutures in Shure University every year.
We made committee meeting about these lectures in April.
We have four lectures in this year. First lecture have held in June.
We want to tell you our passion about these lectures!!!

We want to live as we want to. However, it is so diffcult.
it is so natural that we want to live how we want.
Our way of livingis different from that of the majoritiy. We don’t hurt others. Nevertheless, the majority doesn’t accept different ways.

Yes, our way are different from thier ways. It doesn’t mean we have to follow their ways.
Lecturers are activist of such issues: sexual minority, the homeless, HIV/AIDS and Japanese Korean.
They want to live as they want to. So their activisies are very powerful.

We want to live as we want. Whenever we are conscious about this, we can conect each other.
We want to join the lectures with you who are reading this web site

Many Shure university students are so busy.
Even if it’s night time, there are many students at Shure university.
It’s difficult to cook good meals everyday!
So, some students who like cooking dinner do 3days a week in shifts.
The dinner menus vary from person to person. It’s interesting.
We look forward to this project dinner everytime.
And, it’s fun to eat dinner with together.
